Bluetel Community Phone

The Blue Room portable Bluetel Community Phone enables an operator to start a small business without the requirement of a fixed office infrastructure. No fixed lines or power outlets are required. The Bluetel Community Phone also addresses the increasing need for telecommunications by the public. The product consists of two seperate units.

The first unit, called the Control Unit, enables the operator to enter an amount given to him/her by the user to make a call. Once this amount is entered, the user may use the phone until the funds are depleted. Additional function menus are provided by the Control Unit, such as viewing last call durations and call totals. The operator can NOT change call rates on the unit.

The second unit, called the Display Unit, is connected to the Control Unit with the supplied cable, enabling the display to be some distance from the operator, creating privacy for the user. A standard telephone connects to this unit from which a user can make a call. The only function of the Display Unit is to indicate the amount of money and/or time left to assist the user in deciding when the call needs to be terminated.
